Ugly Betty Episode 2.11 Spoilers
January 3, 2008 will be a date for Ugly Betty fans as it will be the night that the show returns to airwaves. Surely, the much talked-about musical episode is still in the works, but this fresh new episode of Ugly Betty will comfort those fans who are eager to see more of their favorite stars. In fact, celebrities on the show will also include some musical artists.
The new episode written by Dawn DeKeyser is entitled “Zero Worship,” and features our lovable gay assistant Marc (Michael Urie) accompanying his BFF and receptionist at Mode, Amanda (Becki Newton) to a psychic, in the hopes that the psychic would shed some light on the identity of her real father. She previously found out in the season ender of the first installment of Ugly Betty that her real mother was Faye Sommers, the previous and deceased editor-in-chief of Mode. Meanwhile, the scheming Wilhelmina receives some unexpected news about her plans for the Meade dynasty.
Fashion guru Justin and his classmates visit the prestigious Mode offices, while Betty is disturbed by the message Mode is sending to Justin and the rest of the youth. Being the resourceful assistant that she is, Betty convinces Daniel (Eric Mabius) to use “real models” during fashion week. Who else will Daniel use but Betty, of course! As she works the runway proudly, musical artists Omarion and Bow Wow perform.
For those who aren’t familiar, Bow Wow is formerly known as Lil Bow Wow, who dropped his “Lil” as he is now a 20-year-old rapper known for the tracks “Let’s Get Down” and “Shortie Like Mine.” Omarion, on the other hand, is a 23-year-old R&B singer who took the lead for a boy band named B2K. Both musical artists have had previous acting experience.
Other screen caps from the episode include a scene wherein Betty and Bow Wow seem to be trapped in the elevator. This episode’s guest stars include David Blue as Cliff, Derek Riddell as Stuart, Alec Mapa as Suzuki St. Pierre, Wendy Benson as Veronica, Juliette Goglia as Hillary, Annie Potts as Linda, Carol Ann Susi as Mrs. Geleano, Elizabeth McLaughlin as Lindsay, Hannah Marks as Taylor and Rob Brownstein as Dr. Weiss.
