How many lb-ft of energy would you have when hunting black bear?
I have a 308 Win I can almost drive set with (1 "groups at 200 yards consistently) but I am concerned about the terminal ballistics bear hunting all. The door to my region is not too big, maybe 200-300 lbs, and I wonder what my ethics should be brought up. So I do not want an injury bears and follow in the bushes, not my idea of fun.

Generally, if you see a bear today – You can show earlier and catch it again tomorrow. Keep this in mind – because some bears will look forward to – and their buttocks or on the side can be rubbed on the skin so badly is worthless and beyond what a skilled taxidermist can fix.
